What are the odds that Analogue will issue a unique tabletop (not portable) console that plays Nintendo DS and 3DS games, straight to the TV? (Albeit, probably without any 3D technology, since that was built into the portable screen).
Initially I was thinking about a GameBoy type of tabletop console, but then remembered that there already exists the Super GameBoy adapter and also the GameBoy Player adapter. Heck, if Analogue decides to make a new one, I’ll bite. But I do prefer a 3DS concept that lets me load my physical games into it. I would love that very much.
Has anyone ever tinkered with such an idea? If so, are there any cool renderings of what the console would look like?

Negative 50% chance that happens. We would be more likely to see a dual screen FPGA handheld maybe one day but a console version of a handheld system would not be something the majority of people would want vs something more like the Analogue Pocket that's a handheld you can buy a dock for.

You can already look into NDS consolizer kits. They are hardware mods the let you play DS games on the TV.

3DS will never happen. The games have copy protection on them.

A consolized 3DS/DS is my dream, but Analogue will never do it

How would the touch screen input be simulated?

The Wii U is a nice DS emulator, but compatibility is not 100%. The steam deck also has options for replicating the dual screen.

Even if they did make it, there would be so much demand for it that it would be sold out instantly
