Sure, but they inherit the job, they didn't get it because the looked the most impressive in the entire kingdom.
There's a great episode of "Meet the Ancestors" where they reconstruct from skeletal remains this really, really, terrifyingly huge monster a of a guy. Turns out it was the skeleton of a member of the Mycenaen Royal Family.
But, modern royalty? Not as impressive, on the whole.
