He's not the only French general who predicted a future shit show due to political decisions made by Europeans in agreement with the USA. Foch did before him, and was frighteningly accurate on the time delay before it would happen, too.
That being said, De Gaulle also accurately predicted blitzkrieg more than a decade before it was used against France successfully, so it wasn't his first important accurate vision.
