Gemini hits the sweet spot between minimal and too minimal and that is why I prefer it now over Gopher
Yeah, just a little markup makes plain text so much easier to read
it's nice. but I wish you could use inline hyperlinks. I don't see any reason not to allow them other than forcing solderpunk's opinions on everyone
Because hyperlinks are not neat and would take away from reading the page like plaintext
lots of links are good actually

no, feel non-link
yeah, the ability to nest lists would be nice to have as well. I can sorta kinda get not wanting tables, but come on.
#712 Well, gemtext is made to avoid having to keep any sort of context (except one bit for monospace blocks). Though I guess you can see nesting locally as levels instead of as blocks
>>OP It feels way too minimal for me. Id really like at least images. It doesnt have to support any special format%2C even just BMP or XPM would be nice. There are just some things that ASCII Art wont cover and the way images can be viewed now is pretty impractical
I don't mind not having in-line links. There's always another way to include your links and it makes the text so much cleaner, in my opinion.
The only thing I would want to be added to Gemini is some more markdown formatting; namely bolding, underlining, and italics.
Sorry, nothing is going to be added to gemtext. You'll have to live without styling, or serve markdown, or use /ad hoc/ styling (which I do *not* recommend).
