I think certain common idioms can be implemented by a client as a UI 
pretification, for example the frequently seen square bracket citations 
could be expanded [like this] or this [1]. The community could encourage 
this idiom as it is very gemini-friendly.

=> scheme://domain/path1 [like this]
=> scheme://domain/path2 [1]

I'm working on a UI playground to explore some of these ideas, among 
others, hope to have something to show soon.
