Introduction

It is now autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. I wish you all good vibes and good times in this lovely season.

Hidden (and not so hidden) Gems

Circumlunar Transmissions

If you're enjoying smolZINE you will likely also be interested in another geminispace zine. Focusing on longer form content and having an organic "as it comes together" release schedule, Circumlunar Transmissions issues are absolute gems of interesting reading material. Some of you may also be pleased to hear that it is distributed over both gemini and gopher.

Circumlunar Transmissions

Visiblink's Phlog

It's a very nice and long running phlog which is also accessible on gemini.

Visiblink's Phlog

Raspberry Pi of Anguish

Don't let the ominous sounding name fool you. This capsule is filled with fun stuff! Some gaming material (of the non-video variety), some info about bushcrafting and a gemlog. My favorite section is the Palm OS software archive.

Raspberry Pi of Anguish: Wyoming Gemini Destination

Cadence.moe

A charming little gemini starship with a gemlog and links to some of their projects. There is even a nice campfire to rest by as the nights get cooler this time of year.

Cadence.moe

LunarPark

I'm not even sure how to describe this. It is "An abandoned amusement park drifting in circumlunar.space". This one is best explored thoroughly so have a click around and enjoy the space themed ascii art.

Titan

What is Titan?

Where as Gemini is used to read pages in Gemini space, Titan is used to write pages in Gemini space.

Titan Protocol

There are a few projects aimed at getting your own capsule up and posting to it smooth and easy. Capsules like flounder.online, smol.pub and gemlog.blue provide a way to do this through a web browser without having to dive into a terminal. Titan along with servers and clients that support it aims to make writing and posting to a gemini capsule smooth and easy entirely within gemini itself. The ease of joining geminispace for less technical users has been an oft discussed topic. Servers and clients supporting the Titan protocol could be a welcome addition to the landscape of getting into gemini with a low barrier to entry by being able to read and post from the same interface.

One big step towards this becoming a reality has already been realized in the addition of Titan support in one of the most popular and full-featured Gemini clients Lagrange. Soon it looks like there will be a server with support for Titan to go along with it. The Spacebeans server is planning Titan support in the near future. I'm looking forward to a seamless self-contained gemini posting workflow. Even for those of us that enjoy pecking away in the terminal it will be a welcome addition.
