These days the washing machine decided to malfunction and trigger the electric fuse. We do not need this appliance like twice every day, but needless to say: my wife was not amused. And equally needless to say, she was considering buying a new machine on the spot, wishlist appended here ...
But I honestly think, that we cannot really continue with the current consumption of raw materials and energy, so I opted for at least one attempt to get the machine repaired.
Today my favourite electrician showed up and replaced the heater. Machine is working again! Happy wife, happy life. And happy me as well, because not even attempting to repair something is one of the bigger sins imho. The machine is 16 years old, and with a new heater might last for another 10 or 16 --- who knows.

May the machine live long and prosper!
