week 39 - peachtober prep

the week felt... slow. a little brain slow? and some pains, the weather changes are definitely affecting our household. alternating sun and rain, there was even a storm! the mornings are cool enough to run the heating. a nice respite from the heat and mosquitoes of summer.
bits:
- this week we've switched to "over the garden wall" and the jodie foster season of true detective
- almost done with what i have of murderbot. i think there's one more book out there? i've been supplementing with fics. always nice to find a fandom where good fics abound.
- i surprised myself by considering doing peachtober this year (usually i don't like challenges, but maybe if it's just "something i /could/ do" that's low pressure enough?) i have many of the prompts completed already to not feel rushed in october proper. this might have been my main activity this week.
- i have decided Not to do the dropm78 challenge though. there are just so many rules we already have to follow, it's exhausting and pointless?? for the same reason i'm not really taking a super hard stance on personal spending anymore. it's nothing, it doesn't mean anything, it's all just ego stories.
- i do think i'll want to work through lisa papez's book once it comes out. it seems similar to her free course on youtube which i enjoyed. that's something more my speed.
- re: the two points above - i ordered an interesting tarot deck. it's simple collage with nods to RWS, but the titles are very focused on the astrological aspect, so feel more thothy. i hope to finally learn the tarot-applicable parts of astrology. looking forward to many hours listening to fortune's wheelhouse
- the renovations in poland are finally finished. looking forward to having tenants again. hate to have to do it, but for a single income immigrant household... it would come in handy.
sending everyone all the autumn colors - the warm-toned, low-angled sunlight, the dried yellow grasses swaying in the wind.
