The 'onPreferencesMenu' callback |
Event generated under MacOS X only Event number: 38 When you create a packaged application from your APLX workspace, your code will normally use System Classes to create windows and the menus associated with them. However, under MacOS X, the 'Preferences' menu item resides in the application menu which MacOS X creates, so it is outside the scope of the user-defined menus. The onPreferencesMenu callback allows your packaged APL application to be notified when the user has selected the 'Preferences' menu item, so that you can display an appropriate dialog. Under Windows and MacOS 8 or 9, this callback will never be triggered. Instead, you should create your own 'Preferences' menu item. See also the onAboutMenu and onQuitMenu callbacks. |
