Thunderbird is my favorite mail client, just as ../wiki?action=edit;id=FireFox "Click to edit this page") is my favorite web browser. Both of them have tons of extensions. These are the ones I use:
1. Enigmail for GnuPG integration
2. MessageFaces for little pictures used in mails
3. Nostalgy to add more keyboard shortcuts
