I find mindmap’s a fun way of half-organizing my thoughts. I often do it when I have to do a presentation or a lecture. Doing the mindmap I start with the most important terms, organize them arround some central theme, start connecting them, add additional leaves to the tree, and whenever I’m stalling, I start to add colors and draw little pictures... This doodling helps me to get started again.
Boring mindmap for work. Notice how I stuck extra paper to one of the pages in my notebook in order to extend the mindmap:
Interesting mindmap I did about myself a few years back when I was unsure of whether I was getting my priorities in life right. So I needed to figure out what my priorities are, and what I was spending my time on, and how to get from here to there... It was interesting. 😄
I must be a “yellow” kind of person, whatever that means.
Typical map for the introduction to a talk. It has an “arc” for the general storyline, and various branches for the main topics.
Lousy quality because I just take a picture with my digital camera using a flash. 🙁 If you know how to fix this using The Gimp, please let me know.

i was too busy to post a timely comment; sorry.
diagramming is interesting, but most examples i’ve seen didn’t appear too useful; although their creators may love them. i would think your diagramming is better than what i’ve seen before, so i regret that i can’t make out the details of your mindmaps. do you have any fairly detailed mindmaps that are readable? i understand the contents may be too private to put on public display, so so feel free to ignore this query.

I’ll try and remember to post good examples here. And next time I’ll use a scanner instead of my lousy digital camera. 😄

The way you draw mindmap is a bit different than I do... but then it’s similar in lot many ways too. I like to draw small pictures as well. But I don’t fill in colors in the blank space. What the heck, your mindmap looks nice.
PS - I liked that squinted gnu... 😃

No I didn’t. Thanks for the link. I’m not a big fan of using a computer, however, because the physical act of drawing and doodling is important to me.
