Every now and then I run accross a Guardian article on the web when I read about the US, Iran, or Iraq. I also like how so many (all?) of their articles are online. That makes for truly quotable stuff. And they also publish the English MondeDiplomatique. Yay!

this reminder about Guardian online is timely, since i just deleted the Toronto Star bookmark when they recently started requiring registration to see anything beyond headlines.
my dad had recommended the Guardian years ago, but i forgot about it.
i’m a canadian living in texas, so to get decent info i listen to BBC shortwave (i’m a dinosaur in many ways), and have bookmarked BBC news website, the Economist magazine website, and until recently the Toronto star.
aside from adding Guardian for at least a trial period, i will re-try the Times newspaper online, and possibly an Australian newspaper site (you could figure out that i’m unilingual).
do you have any other general coverage news sites to recommend? ffti.
