I needed a table of people to hire, but without level. That means: either torchbearers and porters (unarmed, won’t fight, half a gold per day), or men-at-arms or bodyguards, thugs (also unarmed, but willing to fight, one gold per day). I think that employers should equip the people they hire.
In the first few sessions, this is interesting, until player characters reach level three or so. How long does that take? Maybe ten fifteen sessions in my games? My sessions are short, less than 2h each.

I can totally see how using scripts like these turns writing and preparing encounters into something like a game. Also, elisp seems to be just made for use cases like this.
