I’m sitting at the table in the “nerd cave“ where our bookshelves, our laptops, our printer, and our table is. My wife is sitting at her laptop, telling me about Ca deficiencies, ATM gene mutations, breast cancer, and worse. I’m trying to focus because my websites are down.
Why are the websites down? I can’t even connect using SSH. When I do, all I get is the lines up to “Last login: …”
My hosting provider offers a VNC connection to the host that I can start up on demand. I then use Remote Desktop to connect to server. This is what it looks like:
This is not looking good:
Memory cgroup out of memory: killed … task … blocked for more than 120 seconds … Failed to start Journal Service … Failed to start Journal Service
I rebooted the server. The same thing happened not too long ago. How annoying. Looking at Munin I don’t see anything spiking like crazy. Reading “/var/log/syslog” does not show anything surprising. At 19:15 it’s still serving requests. At 19:39 it’s rebooting. The screenshot is from 19:37.
