I run a MUSH already: Ijirait. But what if we wanted to run a real game, with challenges, items to pick up, enemies to fight, lands to explore? Somebody would have to write it up. I’d be happy to turn it into a game. But I need collaborators who write up a cool story. Interested?

Alyssa Rosenzweig:
Unlike a vocal minority, I don’t see Gemini as “meaningful” to software freedom’s big ambitions. Technically, it is not fit to displace the web. Gemini could be extended to do so, but as the mailing lists make painfully clear, something of value would be lost if we did. Nevertheless, Gemini is meaningful in this positive notion of software freedom community. Gemini is social in a way social media is not. It’s human. It’s clean, software freedom friendly fun. It isn’t for everyone, and there’s no reason to want it to be. But it’s for me and you. – Software Freedom and Fun: A case for Gemini
