Maybe not!
This morning we spilled some water on the laptop as it was lying there, switched off, lid open; we quickly lifted it up, turned it sideways, let the water run off. Later today I switched it on, everything worked, and I forgot about the spill.
A few minutes ago, I heard a zap from the laptop as it was lying next to me, screen black but alive, on batteries. Surprised, I tried to log in but the screen remained black. And it had remained black ever since.
When I plug in the power cord, two lights light up. When I press the power button, all three lights light up for half a second and then things go dark.
I opened the back and saw some water drops. Dried them off, but I must assume that more water is in the machine. How to dry this? Into the oven, 30°C? Maybe that might work for half an hour.

Half an hour in the oven, the laptops seemed incredibly hot when I picked it back up. WTF! This seems more than the 30°C I was expecting! I left it for half an hour sitting in the living room with an open lid, and it boots! Tears of joy. Making backup now. 😂

Nobody touches the laptop while the backup is being made!
Things seem to be working! I’m not moving the laptop around, for now.
