OK, so I’ve bought Teenage Engineering’s PO-35 “speak” and I’ve been watching movies on YouTube. I figured I might as well buy the OP-1 if I enjoy tinkering with music so much. But then I discovered that the OP-1 is bit harder to use. So I wondered about buying the PO-33 “K.O!” which comes with a sampler.
PO-33 K.O! House Music + How to Make A Song by Enrique Martinez was really encouraging. For one, I see that the way I work with the PO-35 is similar to how he works with the PO-33 and so I get the feeling I should be able to use the PO-33 just fine. Later, I saw OP-1 My Sampling Workflow by djthomaswhite and saw that eventually, what I’d like to do will be possible with the OP-1 as well.

And yet. Quite a bit more confusing. I guess I like the limits imposed on me by the Pocket Operators (PO).
And then I remembered a fantastic little app I had purchased years ago, PixiTraker! And I see that it’s available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS.
Yesterday, I managed to crash the app and loose the track I was working on, but today I discovered half a track on another device and doodled around with it. I like it!

When you play the track in the app, it shows a weird animation. I love it. And a great tool to explain trackers to kids, I guess.

Anyway, I see one possible way this can go wrong: buy lots of stuff, then spend your time watching YouTube videos. Argh!
