TIS-100 Every now and then I’ve been solving riddles in the TIS-100 app. An assembler writing game! I think that every riddle has a distribution of scores and you should try to minimize your cycle count. The fifth riddle is the first one where my cycle count seems really above the mean with 335! I really need to fix my code. I wonder what I’m doing wrong. Apparently a solution with around 200 is possible.
Ok, a rewrite brought it down to 305. But there must be an alternative!
Another rewrite and now I’m at 361! Wtf.
Hah, finally 272 and less! Nowhere near the top score of around 200, judging by the graph. But better.
Gah, another rewrite and back to 322. Clearly, I have not mastered this.
And back to 272
1. This is making me sad. Very sad.
2. I’m going to cry.
