Recently I was surprised to hear from a user who had decided that my wiki minor mode did what he wanted: allowing him to write a hypertext with minimal distraction.
At the time, that’s what I wanted as well. Later, people like John Wiegley and Sacha Chua took it to the next level with Emacs Wiki Mode and Emacs Muse before it all got gobbled up by Org Mode.
And yet, the simple stuff remains useful. Another reason why I like Emacs.
