2011-07-05 New Phone, New SIM, New Number

I extended my mobile phone contract and got myself a new phone. It requires a micro SIM, which I also got. The micro SIM uses a different phone number. Whaaaat? I didn’t want to change my phone number. What stupidity is this?

Now I have to walk to a shop, wait in line, talk to some dude, and try to get this resolved. Orange, I don’t like this. 🙁 👎

• Update*: A call to the help line and they did some stuff to their configurations, told me to sync and reboot, and everything will be fine. Apparently the old phone (or just it’s SIM card) will wipe itself shortly. Now I understand how they can’t just do this carelessly. I just wish that they had written a letter to go along with the phone explaining how to proceed.
