I have an USB webcam by Logitech called Logicool. lsusb reports `Bus 003 Device 003: ID 046d:08ae Logitech, Inc. QuickCam for Notebooks`. Googling around gave me the impression that I had try either `export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so` or `export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l2convert.so` before starting an application like cheese, ekiga, etc.
Too bad nothing worked. 🙁
