Gah. How is this supposed to be fair? I don’t know 99% of the stuff. I expect this is true for all the other people. Thus, this will be heavily influenced by your established purchasing behaviour. I decided to vote for things I sort of understood.
- *Best Cover Art* – that was easy; anybody can look at the covers. I already mentioned it on the Paizo boards: I don’t like the high pressure boobs their artists use. That’s why I voted for a cover without half-naked females. 3:16 Carnage Amongst the Stars – science fiction! Even though I never played the game. I’m still waiting for Haarald to run it for us one of these days, hehe. I must confess, I looked at CthulhuTech and liked the Neon Genesis Evangelion vibe. Except for the female costume. Yuck!
- *Best Free Product* – that’s easy. I subscribe to the view that Quickstart rules are not really complete games. It’s tricky. Maybe they are? But they feel like advertisements. So I voted for something I actually own. Swords & Wizardry
- *Best Podcast* – that one was a bit tricky. I had unsubscribed from one of them recently, and I didn’t know the two others. A quick click told that they were 4E and some strange d20 radio. So I voted for what I like: Brilliant Gameologists.
- *Fan Award for Best Publisher* – that’s the weirdest. But since it has the “fan award” prefix, it sort of excuses us all to vote for the publishers with which we were happy. I voted for Mythmere Games, Paizo Publishing, Green Ronin Publishing, Malhavoc Press, Goblinoid Games, Goodman Games, Open Design.

That’s it. I didn’t vote for anything else. Maybe if I knew Dungeon-a-Day and Obsidian Portal better, I would have voted for one of them. But I don’t so I didn’t. I don’t really think that I’d get the same level of day-to-day usability out of the other websites (assuming that I actually used one of the two commercial sites).
