How weird is that: Apparently Lulu is holding some sort of author sales contest and Fight On is number two in the list. That’s why people are now encouraging others to buy print copies from Lulu in order to make it to number one.

Lulu.com is offering cash prizes and additional exposure to the authors who publish the top 3 most purchased books on Lulu throughout the month of March. To enter the sales contest, simply register here using the email address associated with your Lulu account and get started promoting your book. Registration is free and all entries must be received no later than March 31, 2009 to be eligible. ¹
I guess not many authors registered for this contest. I can’t believe that Fight On is so popular.
Unless, of course, it’s my awesome contribution in issue #4... ;)
We dropped issue 1 to $7 and issue 3 to $10 to help boost sales for the contest. These prices will go back up after March 31, but every little bit helps. ²

As the end of March approaches, the insisting implorations to buy more hardcopies is getting on my nerves. Yes, winning a prize would be cool, but it’s still only a game. I don’t need to convince anybody that they should try old school D&D. I just want a good magazine to read about the game I love to play. All this talk of extra editions and hardcovers just to make another sale makes me uncomfortable.
