We’re alive and well! Stayed for two nights in Alajuela, went dancing in San José, spent a night at the Poás Volcano Lodge, got a ride from a very friendly Swiss couple (”from somewhere between Bern and Thun”) to La Fortuna where we’re currently staying at the Hotel Monte Real.

We’ve booked a tour for this afternoon.

This hotel has free Internet access, but the youngest kiddo is playing World of Warcraft all the time, haha.

Let’s hope the elections in the USA bring us a big change for the better. I’m too cynical to actually believe in this. Why should things change in a country that voted for Bush – twice! All those voters are still around. The new president will have to take that into account. (*Update*: NoufalIbrahim linked to Nader’s letter to Obama.)

Update*: We’re back from the trip. It was nice and included an hour or two in a spa. The big bug that has been hanging from a lamp near our room is flying around. The body alone is about 10cm long; the antennas & legs at least another 15cm. When it flies, it looks about as big as my head. Scary.
