I really like Paul Tevis’ podcasts Have Games, Will Travel. He manages to review games by giving you a short run through the rules and explaining the significance of these in two, three short sentences. I prefer this style of review to the reviews that focus on the chapters in the books and the artwork and all that. Those are like reviews of the physical product and the actual text. Paul Tevis’ reviews are more gameplay reviews. Just goes to illustrate the importance of actual play reviews.
Anyway, in his latest episode he talks about two games and makes me want to try them. Both are not traditional roleplaying games.
So many games, so little time... 😄
