All you turncoats and Wendehälse† – stand and hold! **D&D 3.5 FTW!!**
† Wendehals; the sort of East German citizen that transmogrified from communist into capitalist overnight when the Berlin Wall fell.
I see lots of positive reports about 4E. What happened to good ol’ stubborness? When did actual play experience and rational thought enter the picture? This is the Intarrnetz!

Eventhough I promised myself not to invest into another campaign setting (seeing that the restrictions and variants imposed by the Kitsonemori setting were not greeted with much enthusiasm by my players) I feel strangely attracted to Paizo’s Golarion campaign setting. And that’s why I think I’ll be buying their setting book.

And there’s always Wilderlands of High Fantasy by Judges Guild as republished by Necromancer Games. Oops. And now I just bot the PDF copy of the player’s guide. Damn!

LOL! We’ve not completely converted yet, and are still undecided whether to stick with it long-term. 4e definitely plays better than it reads, but we’ve a lot of investment in 3.5e that we’re unwilling to ditch, and definitely don’t play to throw cash at Wizards’ just to buy 4e versions of stuff we’ve already got.
I reckon we’ll end up playing some kind of 3.5e/4e hybrid combining the stuff we like from 4e with the familiarity and sheer volume of source material we’ve got for 3.5e. I suspect we won’t be alone in that decision, either.

I’ve got the books in hand, Alex. I will bring their shiny goodness to our next game, just so you can page through and decide not to buy them 😄
