Looking at my cron job that distributes the EmacsWiki:BannedContent page and friends, I find that only the wiki at openlaw.ch still uses it. The OddWiki farm has its own maintenance script that also fetches these pages. Every other wiki is asking questions instead.
I’m planning on adding a new spam fighting module to EmacsWiki (still not asking questions…) - a module that will complain if you post a page containing *too many links to the same domain*. I’m ignoring subdomains, protocol, path_info, and query parameters. It’s just the domain (”example.com”) that is counted.
Let’s see whether that helps against the spammers using throwaway domains or hacked sites.
