Got 690 mails in my spam folder (created by SpamProbe), the oldest one from 2006-05-03. (See 2006-05-03 Spam for previous numbers.)
In my ordinary inbox, I have 98 mails, the oldest from 2006-05-06. Strange. Did I not get any spam from May 3 to May 5? Anyway, 76 of those 98 were spam! That’s a terrible rate...
So, 788 mails in total, the filter recognized 690 as spam, I found another 76 spam mails, leaving 22 useful mails, and I kept 4 of these for my archives.
A mere 22 out of 788 mails means that 2.8% of my mails are useful; the remaining 97.2% is spam.
Of the 766 spam mails, SpamProbe only recognized 690 as spam: 90.1%. That’s lousy.
I think I’ll switch back to ThunderBird: 2006-05-17 Software.
