2006-04-29 Oddmuse Emacs Software

I’ve started using OrgMode to comment on the ten Hungarian patches to Oddmuse I got many weeks ago (more than 3k lines of patches). I don’t think I will be applying them, but I’ve only looked at four files out of ten.

Org Mode looks very interesting. I can’t believe I had missed such a cool piece of software.

3k of patches? to oddmuse.pl? What kind of updates were they?

I have tried various Emacs based task list packages (planner, todo, etc.). They all sucked. Well, except org-mode. It is the last one I have used that I have not thrown away in disgust. Now that I write this comment I wonder why I have stopped using it! Probably because I think file based todo lists are obsolete. The task list needs to be on the web so it can updated everywhere (work, home, client site, etc.).

By the way, where is the todo list for oddmuse. I vaguely remember seeing it on a wiki page.

The stuff I have in mind is Oddmuse:Plans.
