We discussed the Swedisch book by *Marianne Fredriksson* (see 2006-02-18 Books) in the bookclub. We all liked the memory fragments, the frankness when it came to miscarriages and the difficulties of giving birth, I liked how the same scenes were described from the point of view of a child, and later in the book the same scene reappears from the point of view of the mother. Similarly, people are also described from various points of view. Very interesting.
Currently I’m reading Afterdark by Haruki Murakami. Strange, at the moment there seems to be no English translation. I’m reading it in German (Afterdark von Haruki Murakami).
