I’m trying to put various stuff together I’ve been using on this wiki and on others to produce a list of suggested modules for people wanting to start blogging using Oddmuse without writing any Perl code in their config file.

• Oddmuse:Blogging With Categories – this is what I wrote today
• Oddmuse:Markup Extension – the simple markup I suggest for most people
• Oddmuse:Header Markup Extension – for two levels of headers
• Oddmuse:Long Table Markup Extension – powerful tables that are still easy to use
• Oddmuse:Calendar Extension – easy grouping of entries by months

What else? I’m not too enthusiastic about the following:

• Oddmuse:Automatic Link Back – nice to have, but not essential
• Oddmuse:Image Extension – cool if you know some CSS, useless otherwise
• Oddmuse:Despam Extension – cool if you join the BannedContent network
• Oddmuse:Tagging Extension – I admit that I love linking and have my doubts about tagging; I just don’t use searches for tags to find stuff myself
