I think I should get myself more external harddisks. I’ve been a happy owner of a Lacie 250G USB drive which I formatted using vfat (Argh!!) for Claudia’s media files including footage from the video camera. Those eat storage space like Vogons blast Earth.
I was also wondering about a backup for my Mac. What to do? Then I read this Nerd Vittles post about using a Lacie 80G Firewire drive for a bootable backup of the Mac. How cool is a bootable backup?
Not knowing much about Darwin, I guess the same can be done using command line tools, but making the disc bootable is the thing I’d miss. (lilo? heheheh...)
Must think of buying this.
