I’m not sure I like the last change to my CSS using a “greyed-out” red for visited links...

first, thanks for answering various questions i posed yesterday.
i notice that when choosing “edit text of this page”, there is a summary field; but when choosing “comments on this page”, there is no summary field. so when i just want to make a comment, i can’t summarize my comments for you.
about your remark concerning the change of appearance for visited links: is it just the nature of the change (fainter color) you don’t like, or having any change at all?
regarding browser use in general, i usually don’t like having any change for visited links. for example, if i take a look at your SiteMap, i don’t want to see the link change appearance. but when i am on a download page with many similar links, the change in appearance is useful to avoid choosing the same link again. so i would like to disable visited link changes (set color to same as un-visited links), but have an option like “distinguish visited links on this page” for when i want to distinguish visited links. i’m not aware of any such option in firefox.
thus for my taste, a subtle change in visited link appearance is good, which is what you have. i had to disable the firefox option “use my colors” to see your color scheme. normally i control the colors of web pages: green text on black background, orange links. i am only interested in content, and it reduces distraction to have all pages in the same color scheme.
