She has some interesting numbers:
- In the UK, completely privatized: Prices rose by 100% within 10 years, quality did not improve and degraded in London.
- France, half privatized: Prices of private suppliers are about 20% higher than community suppliers.
- Privatized water supply attracts corruption.
- No general trend for Europe.
- Manila, Philippines, privatized: Within a few years the price quadrupled, quality and infrastructure did not improve.
- Bogotà, Colombia, and São Paulo, Brazil: Both decided to improve communal water policy and are now considered to be exemplary for Latin America.
