Is there no paperback edition of LawrenceLessig’s *FreeCulture*? ISBN: 1594200068. Printing 352 pages of material sucks, and reading them on a monitor sucks as well. 🙁

Hardcover first (more expensive), then paperback as with most books. You’ll have to wait a bit for paperback see Amazon and wait for it until April 2005. – PierreGaston

Amazon

I see. Thanks for the link. I guess I will have to read it on a monitor, then. :_ – Alex_

Why don’t you buy the hardcover too heavy too expensive? – PierreGaston

I resent it when I have to buy a more expensive edition that wastes more space, trees, and energy... 😄 Maybe a silly argument. It’s just an inner revolt at seeing a merchant with something I want and telling that no, I have to buy the expensive version because he’ll just sell the expensive copy while people are willing to pay for it. – Alex

Personally not that far in time, I would have been like you looking for a paperback version but since months now, I use my Palm as a book reader. Free Culture is now part of my book collection (not had time to read though). Reading on a palm is quite comfortable and what’s more, with a 512Mo SD Card, I can take almost all my book collection with me without pain ;)

I can’t imagine myself reading on such a tiny screen...

You should reconsider this 😄

I thought just as you and know I find it very comfortable, doable. My guess is that it is a matter of taste (yet another time 😄).
