We like it better here on El Hierro. We stay in a Parador, the weather is fabulous - cloudy but warm. A stony coastline with lava formations and rocks. To bathe you visit a charco, a pool with sea water in it. Unfortunately we have a cockroach a day even here in a luxury hotel. Coming from Switzerland we do not take cockroaches too well. They are a sign of bad hygiene for us. Even knowing that they are more common here and probably unavoidable it shakes us up. In the last place we stayed in on Teneriffe we had three to four a day in the bathroom. Going there had become a scary mission armed with a sandal and eying the dark corners and the wooden roof with distrust. Anyway we love the Herreño cheese here. Just today we had it a la plancha. Yumm!
