Watched the first hour of *Warriors* (IMDB:0119873). This first hour was very slow paced. In a way, maybe that is realistic – not much happens, day after day, and then suddenly some escort, some patrol, some event that stays in your memory, and then again, routine, guard duties, calling home...

IMDB:0119873

Interesting to note that there is a comment on the IMDB by a Slovenian user saying that he watched the movie on Pink (a Serbian TV channel usually playing lots of music clips), 2004-05-24. ¹

Another comment:

This, in a nutshell, is the hypocrisy of the world. For America, it’s a lost cause. If we interfere, we’re suddenly “imperialists trying to push our beliefs on the world” blah blah blah; or they might say we’re trying to “bully the world” again. But if we DON’T interfere, then we’re “selfish and apathetic, and useless and should have done this and done that”. RE: Can’t win either way. ²

Later (2004-07-10): Watched the end of the movie today. Ugh. The movie has virtually zero gore, which is a welcome relief. If you watch the movie with the background of other stories you might have heard from friends or neighbours (Yugoslavian refugees are a significant part of the foreigners in Switzerland), tv footage, newspapers, and reports on the web ³ ⁴

Contrary to what I heard about the end of the movie on the IMDB, I felt that the endings for the various people were plausible...
