Yesterday (2004-06-03 Software) I managed to uninstall *udhcpc* by accident. I didn’t notice. Today I booted – and no network connection. I tried _etc*init.d/networking restart* and got no message from the DHCP client. I looked some more... It was gone! *apt-get install udhcpc*... I’m not connected. Argh!_
Dig out Knoppix ¹, reboot, connect to the network, download a .deb file, save to harddisk, reboot again, *dpkg -i udhcpc*... And as you can see, I’m back online. 😄
