Note that “we need to…” already suggests that you are thinking too hard about it. If you are enlightened, you don’t care whether you are or not. When you are considering some action, and you are confused, and start thinking about the right thing to do, you have already strayed. Just do it. Or do the simplest thing. If you wonder about the consequences, then consider it this way: When you learn a new language, you learn words, and rules, and you practice, and translate… But when you *know* the language, you just answer. No thoughts required. That doesn’t mean you don’t think while talking. It also doesn’t mean that no thought was required to *learn* the language. It just means that when you have finally mastered the language, you don’t think about it anymore. It comes natural. This is the state-of-grace I care about. Whether it is enlightened or not. ¹
