Saw *Once upon a time in Mexico* (IMDB:0285823). That was one bad movie!! Everything good about it is in the trailer: I liked the cutting, the colors, timing, some of the aesthetics, but Baz Luhrmann just does it better in *Romeo + Juliet* (IMDB:0117509).
The Mexico movie has a lousy plot and unnecessary gore. What looks like attempted style and flourish is uncool and stupid. It comes accross as an attempted self-ironic movie trying to play with a genre, but I did not like the gags, and I could not see the point.
Johnny Depp did not save that movie.
