Iraq

Reading news from Iraq by Riverbend. Americans bombing people in Iraq, people getting pissed, kids and women scared, bombs, helicopters, planes, people being affraid, sure feels like a ongoing war to *them*. 🙁

She links to the report *Continuing Collateral Damage: The health and environmental costs of war on Iraq* ¹; on that page I noticed the following in the executive summary:

¹

Between 21,700 and 55,000 people died between March 20 and October 20, 2003 (the date on which this report went to press)

Ugh. At least we start to see the price people in Iraq are paying for their liberation from the regime that was at one time supported by the West.

She also links to *Today in Iraq* ². There, I find the following item:

Perle admits Iraq invasion violated international law. ³

And now what, do we put the loonies on trial?

And what does it say?

This is wonderful news. Accessability guidelines of the W3C!
