Ugly OddMuse bugs... One bug caused Perl crashes not even fatalsToBrowsers could catch, as far as I can tell. Got around it by specifying an artificial limit. Found a way to handle a missing `/usr/bin/merge`... In fact, there is no `/usr/bin/merge` available on this system right now.

I find it amazing that the MeatBall:FeatureKarma idea seems to work for Oddmuse. With all that code writing, and a new upload feature, and bugfixes, and more tests – it continues at 3970 lines of Perl. And it doesn’t look sharp as a diamond – it looks just like ordinary code.

We’re having even more cool discussions over on MeatBall:RefactorLater, MeatBall:SpaghettiRecentChanges, and even MeatBall:RssInclusion. The latter is important for my OddMuse work. I’m not sure the RSS inclusion is useful. I’m considering to remove it.

Aaargh! NO! Don’t remove RSS includes. It was what converted me to OddMuse in the first place. And very inspirational. Everytime I try to persuade people of the idea that wiki could be their annotated front end to a complex information system, the RSS include feature is what finally persuades them. – PhilJones

I see. I was toying with the idea to merge news from various sources into on “RSS include”. Maybe I’ll do that and see whether RSS includes are more useful to me, then.
