The second day on the beach! This time we decided: “No flies!” and we moved to the beach closer to town – the one between the town and the lighthouse which all the locals seemed to prefer. We went around 11 o’clock and forgot about the sun... The locals only stay at the beach when they have sun umbrellas. We didn’t, and like real tourists, by the time the locals came back between three and four, we had our sun-burns... Claudia got it worse than I did, but it was a fair reminder of how things work: Even with sun-blocks of protection factor 20, your are not invulnerable...
The beach was nice, and the water calm. It was in the estuary of the river flowing through *Vila Nova de Milfontes*.
