My wife and I took our first ever real vacation in the 17 years we have been married. We decided to go to northwest Washington state. We spent a week going to the rain forests, and visiting beaches on the pacific ocean. It was glorious, but ended up with us missing Wyoming.
This Monday, the first day after my vacation ended, I flew to Tulsa, OK. It was just shy of 110 degrees F for most of the week. Hotter inside the place I was working than it was outside. I likely lost some weight just by sweating. Not too bad of a deal.
I was informed on Wednesday afternoon that I had to change my flight home, and drive to Kansas City for an emergency job. I told them they could have me for one day. It was agreed. So after I was done with the job I was doing, I went to the hotel, showered, packed, and hit the road.
Four and a half hours later I was in a place not at all in the same classification I started in. From rural to very urban. Decay covering everything. I am most definitely not a fan of large cities. I spend a lot of time in them, but I am always happy to return home.
This morning I drove from Kansas City to Tulsa and am currently sitting in the airport waiting for my flight to board. The drive was nice and cool. It rained most of the time.
