On this vacation, I have been gleefully doing a lot of nothing. Made my trademark turkey for the fam, and Turkey Mole burritos for me (1/2 bottle of cholula and 2 giant Hershey bars in the mole sauce, my fave).
I slept wrong somehow a few days ago and now I find it painful to raise my right arm. This too shall pass.
I wanted a portable emacs config, so I wrote one. It uses use-package and keeps the packages it uses to a minimum as I do not require a whole lot. So far tested on my Gemini PDA, my phone, and the ThinkCentre of Death. Works well, just a shell script that makes ~/.emacs.d, copies init.el to it, and then starts emacs. This sounds readily obvious, but if you read this phlog, you'll know it doesn't take much to make me happy.
My wife and I finished watching the series *Hell on Wheels* a few days ago. I really got into this show. I also admired the main character's leather vest, so I bought a hand made leather vest in the style of it off of Etsy, for a not small sum of money. Looks good, though.
Now we are between series to watch when I am off work. We watched *Breaking Bad*, *Better Call Saul*, *Sons of Anarchy*, *Vikings*, and *HoW*. Now to find another series... I didn't watch television much for the past 20 years, so I am sure there's some good ones still left.
