Been on the road. Utah, Colorado, two weeks in LA. Back in Wyoming now for a little while. Encountered a few very right wing cholos while in California. Interesting conversations were had. Also learned that in-n-out burger has a neopolitan milk shake. It is my new favorite. Fun Wyoming fact: if you're a state resident and you ask the highway patrol nicely, they'll give you permission to drive around the gates on interstate highways closed for weather conditions. This got me home the other day. It is a real pleasure being the only vehicle on an interstate. Surreal and calm.
Engaged in a lot of people watching at international airports. I feel very disconnected from current trends. Clothing seems outlandish, conversations seem nonsensical, belief in the latest "information" seems widespread, critical thought seems to be on the wane. Amongst working people in their work locations, this is not the case - mostly. Dichotomy abounds.
